Power Train, fuel/propulsion System
07/03/2026
On 6 occasions over the last 2 months when coming to a stop the engine will increase rpm to 1600 forcing much extra brake pressure to stop, forcing me to shutoff the engine. No codes or indicators and the dealer can't duplicate. I mentioned to the dealer that the car will accelerate while holding down the brake thinking that as a clue as to what's wrong and the service tech told me that is normal but as far as I know it isn't normal. I don't know what to do.

I purchased this vehicle brand new in December of 2023 - It has an oil consumption issue which started on May 13, 2024 - I have had the vehicle to the dealership for repairs to resolve the issue 13 times so far - Vehicle is currently at the dealership and has been for 7 days and they have not done anything to rectify the issue - Dealership says they are waiting on Hyundai to give them the approval to proceed - They have not provided me with a loaner vehicle - I have had to rent a car so I can get to work - The vehicle only has 28,388 miles on it - The issue started in May of 2024 with only 5,412 miles on it - I filed a complaint with Hyundai Case # 40508090 but they have failed to repair the vehicle or buy the vehicle back from me - I need help with this issue and I don't know what else to do

Seat Belts
06/06/2026
Rear, middle seat belt will not latch. Upon the first need, June 2026, of having to have five people in the 2024 Tucson we discovered that the rear, middle seat belt would not latch. This created an unsafe situation of driving in downtown Houston with an occupant being unable to be safely restrained in the rear, middle seat. Dealer has confirmed a defective rear, middle seat belt, but will not repair under warranty. Dealer claims the seat belt was damaged by the folding down rear seat.

I have a 2024 Hyundai Tuscon SLE that I purchased new and several months ago there was a recall on the trailer hitch wiring. I took the car to Hyundai and they removed the wiring harness hitch due to a fire danager. Todate I have not received a replacement hiring harness, so my vehicle is now useless for pulling a trailer for several months. (The spring and summer months are when I use this the most and have not been able to.) All I hear from Hyundai is that they do not have a cure for this. I notice that the 2025 and 2026 models have a wiring harness on them that do not need replacing. I need something done ASAP regarding this matter. Why has NOTHING been done regarding this replacement? It has been MUCH TOO LONG! Is there ANYONE at your organization that can help me with this matter ASAP!!!! Thank you.
