2022 Hyundai Palisade Complaints

  • Vehicle Speed Control, unknown Or Other, back Over Prevention 06/01/2025

Randomly but frequently, my car would turn off when coming to a stop and with the auto shut off - but the full car would turn off and to move, I would need to press the ignition to turn back on and drive. This even occurred while accelerating onto a highway. I took this to the shop and after 6 months of back and forth and paying for fuel injectors they 'repaired' it. Now, my car felt heavy with the auto turn off but the vehicle stayed on. The next day, while trying to accelerate up a hill on a highway, the RPM would rev but the car would not shift and accelerate. Additionally, I am getting 'parking sensor error or blockage' but they lines and sensors are all working.

  • Forward Collision Avoidance 02/15/2026

    1) Front collision sign keep coming up. 2) Cruise control does not function. Dealer claims it's wear and tear and maybe due to bumper loose. Claims maybe if someone backed up into our bumper making it loose. 3) Display on the front windshield is distorted, which is also camera related. 4) Paint on fender is peeling and they call that also wear and tear. Picture attached showing paint coming off Overall Hyundai palisade claims nothing is part of warranty. Everything they are claiming as wear and tear. It's not even 5 years since I bought this car and nothing is covered under warranty.

  • Seats 03/01/2026

Hyundai has had an active recall involving seat belts for several months. I have attempted to have this repair to no avail. I started with my local dealership and was told the parts to make this repair are not available. I have filed a complaint with Hyundai of America and have a case manager who calls me every few weeks to says that the parts continue to be back ordered. My concern is that Hyundai is not dealing with this recall in good faith. I take my young grandchildren to school every morning and fear for their safety.

  • Engine 05/22/2026

My 2022 Hyundai Palisade recently blew the engine due to very little oil (6 quarts). My wife stated that she was driving when it started to act weird. Very shortly after that she heard the vehicle making a loud knocking / banging sound. She stopped the vehicle and turned it off in the nearest parking lot. We had the vehicle towed to our certified mechanic to have it looked at. 6 quarts of oil was put into the engine before it was full. Both him and my wife stated the vehicle never showed a check engine light, low oil light or oil pressure problems. He stated the vehicle had no leaks. He advised us that Hyundai/Kia was having problems burning oil. This is a high risk and safety concerns since there was no warning, happened suddenly and could cause problems for people to find a safe place to pull off the roadway and interstate. So many things can happen if someone didn't hear the noise or have lights indicating a problem, therefor if this happened on the interstate people could struggl...

  • Unknown Or Other 04/09/2026

We brought our vehicle to Anaheim Hyundai for a recall-related service update. Before releasing the vehicle back to us, dealership staff advised that we “may experience some issues” after the update and stated that this was considered “normal.” Later that same evening, the vehicle began stalling while driving. The stalling occurred 7–8 times in different driving situations, including while turning through a busy intersection with oncoming traffic. Each incident created a serious safety hazard, especially because all three of our young children were in the vehicle at the time. During each stall event, the vehicle would suddenly shake, the dashboard warning lights would illuminate, the engine would shut off, and we were forced to restart the vehicle in traffic. In addition, the RPM gauge now constantly fluctuates and shakes while driving. We immediately returned the car to the dealership. Initially, we were told there were no diagnostic error codes. Shortly afterward, the dealership info...
