2019 Ford Flex Complaints

  • Back Over Prevention 05/28/2025

    The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V695000 (Back Over Prevention) and 25V829000 (Structure); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera was inoperable. Additionally, the driver's side door B-Pillar trim had detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the part for the repair of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V695000 (Back Over Prevention); was only available for Mustang vehicles. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

    The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the B-pillar trim detached. The contact taped the trim to keep it from flopping around. The dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V829000 (Structure). The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair, to be refunded by the dealer once parts became available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 81,000.

  • Structure 07/25/2026

    B pillar (keypad) on drivers side flew off on the highway and cracked in half, the lower part was still attached to the wiring harness. The upper part flew onto the roadway. I had to pull over and strap the lower part to the window/door frame and drive the rest of the way with my window down in hot weather for 60+ miles. This is part of a recall, but no remedy is currently available from Ford.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
