    Component: Suspension: Front: Control Arm: Left Lower Arm Description: While operating the vehicle at approximately 5 mph, the left (drivers' side) front lower control arm suffered a catastrophic structural material failure, snapping completely into two parts by the ball joint without warning. The structural failure caused the front wheel assembly to collapse outward, ripping the axle out of the transmission and immediately severing steering control and braking. The vehicle immediately pulled to the left and came to a complete stop. The sudden loss of vehicular control created an immediate, severe safety hazard on a public roadway. Considering that 10 minutes prior, the vehicle was traveling at interstate highway speeds; lives were possibly saved by the failure at the point in time it did fail.     After getting a flat tire, I used the spare that comes stock with the vehicle. As soon as I started driving, it said the tire was the incorrect size. I kept driving just trying to get the car home. It then showed awd temp overheating stop vehicle and looking out my rear view mirror I saw smoke. I rolled down the window and started hearing clunking and grinding so I stopped immediately and had it towed the rest of the way. My rear differential is completely broken.

    Left me stranded on Mexico border.. battery shorts out . Charge port takes emery from phone instead of supplying it.. shorts out after closing hood for no reason fried battery black residue left behind around battery like fire happened. My toes got 3rd degree burns from hot air while driving my foot on gas .3rd degree burn all over toes couldn't wear shoes for a long ring only flip-flops

    The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced phantom braking. The "Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) Malfunction" message was displayed, and the brake warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

    Door/curtain airbags deployed suddenly without an accident and caused seatbelt to lock.
