The contact owns a 2015 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a loud clanking sound coming from the rear end on the passenger's side. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed that the rear end of the vehicle was severely corroded. The contact reached out to a mobile independent mechanic, and it was determined that the underbody of the vehicle was severely damaged and could not be repaired or replaced. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 111,000.

The contact stated that the rear of the vehicle was bouncing, and the clicking sound was extremely loud. The contact stopped and parked the vehicle. The contact was fearful of driving the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact stated that an independent mobile mechanic visited the residence and inspected the vehicle. The vehicle was diagnosed with severe corrosion of the suspension. The contact was informed that the corrosion was irreparable. In addition, the contact was informed that the rear passenger’s side suspension was fractured due to severe corrosion. The dealer that sold the vehicle was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact stated that the vehicle had been parked since the failure. Fuel started leaking after 90,000 miles when tank is over 3/4 full.

The contact owns a 2015 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated that after refueling, the odor of fuel was present inside and outside the vehicle. The contact stated that there was fuel leaking underneath the rear driver's side of the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure occurred whenever there was more than 3/4 tank full of fuel in the fuel tank. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000.
