2024 Honda CR-V Complaints

The vehicle has been in 3 times for shaking and check engine light. First time the Honda technician diagnosed as misfire cylinder 2 issue caused by bad injector. The dealership indicated that Honda would not honor warranty fix if the car did not store the error code on the computer even though "big safety issue." Second time a 60 minute software update was authorized by Honda. Third time 3 error codes were shown: power, transmission, emission. Screenshots provided to dealer but the car computer did not store the codes after the incident. It appears the software is designed not to store the code for intermittent issues by design. First incident documented along with the bad injector causing cylinder misfire at dealership on 5/18/26. I have video of this inspection sent by dealership to me on this date as evidence. The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving 65-70 MPH, there was an abnormal thump coming from the vehicle and a windy sound. The driver became aware that the sunroof had shattered. The sunroof shade was closed at the time of the failure. The Police informed the contact that there was no object to impact the sunroof to cause the failure. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where pictures were taken and sent to a Honda representative and determined that the failure was due to normal wear and tear and a rock chip, which had caused the failure. The sunroof glass was ordered, but the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and was reviewing the case. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000.

This is the third time this vehicle has experienced wheel lock-up during braking. The first occurrence was over three months ago, while one driver was driving alone. The second occurrence was about one month ago, with a different driver, and a passenger was present who also witnessed the wheels locking; no collision resulted those two times. Both involved the wheels locking during braking and a loss of steering control. On the third occurrence, on June 25, while driving on the freeway, the vehicle ahead braked suddenly. The driver applied the brakes and they initially responded, allowing the driver to slow and avoid hitting the vehicle in front. Immediately afterward, the wheels locked up and the driver lost the ability to steer or maneuver. The anti-lock braking system did not prevent the wheels from locking. I was pulling into a parking space at church. I had my foot lightly on the brake as the idle speed was sufficient to enter the parking space. When I pressed on the brake to stop the car completely the brakes failed and the car lurched forward about 10 ft and hit the church building damaging my front left bumper, buckling the hood and components behind the bumper.

Car was idling rough, then a couple weeks later all dash light warnings came on. Took to dealership, said fuel injectors 2 and 4 were bad
