The contact owns a 2018 FORD EDGE. The contact stated that while driving on the highway at 55 mph the engine experienced a slight loss of automotive power and the check engine warning light was illuminated, the contact continued to drive the vehicle to a local dealer where it was diagnosed and the contact was advised that the engine had seized as a result of coolant intrusion, and that the engine would have to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 43,000.
