2024 Mercedes-benz E-Class Complaints

The master central screen as well as the passenger screen that contains all features for radio, navigation, control of reading road signs, climate control and the like go BLACK randomly during the four weeks I have owned the 2024 E Class Mercedes. It will reboot after 2-5 minutes with no lost data. Dealer in Cherry Hill, NJ did major software update not completed at time of purchase. But incident happened after two weeks. Others with this make, year and model have same situations with dealerships not knowing anything. Supposedly, Mercedes knows but a solution may be three months or more. This is a safety issue as if happens at night, you lose all connections even to the cell phone and no speed sign indicator on. You cannot see anything but the driver screen with just the speed you are doing. Cruise control disengages which is using all security systems and navigation map.

  • Suspension 08/14/2024

I’ve been hearing a creaking noise in the rear when coming to a stop. Independent mechanic inspected it and said the subframe was severely rusted and that I probably should not drive long distances until it is fixed. They researched and said others have had similar issue. Mercedes apparently is aware and offers an “extended warranty.” I have an appointment in two weeks (!) to have it looked at by a Mercedes mechanic. They will pay for the repair/replacement IF warranted. Should be a recall, IMO. Can’t imagine that the part in question, which according to my mechanic, “essentially holds the back of the car together” wouldn’t be an immediate recall. Car has 120k miles on it.

During normal driving, Pirelli tires have bubbles, resulting in air leakage. Tires will eventually run flat. Pirelli tires installed on new vehicle cannot support the weight of the vehicle.

The vehicle is equipped with Pirelli 21 inch tires. All four tires have lost air and had bubbles on the sidewall. The first tire went flat after hitting a 2 inch pothole. It was replaced. However, tires 2, 3 & 4 all had bubbles on the sidewalls. The tires placed on the vehicle are deficient. the vehicle weight exceeds the capacity of the Pirelli tires. In the second defect tire situation last week, it almost resulted in a collision due to sudden loss of tire pressure on [XXX] in Indianpolis, IN. I will attach a copy of the repair bills for all four tires. The vehicle must change the 21 inch rims. Also, our second Mercedes had a flat tire today. Five (5) flat tires in 40 days of ownership.
