The contact owns a 2024 Lincoln Corsair. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH, the sunroof suddenly exploded without warning or impact. There were no injuries sustained. The contact notified the local dealer of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but provided no assistance. The contact was referred to the insurance company for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.

The manufacturer's interim safety instructions for Recall 26V091 are failing. Lincoln instructs drivers to use Pure EV mode to prevent battery fires. However, the Corsair's software actively overrides Pure EV mode, automatically turning on the gas engine and completely defeating the safety mitigation. Furthermore, the authorized dealership (Evergreen Ford WA) refuses to take the vehicle. Consumers are stranded with unmitigated fire risks due to software overriding the manufacturer's own safety protocols. While no incident, yet, as I have opted to simply not charge the battery at all to stay safe, I do not believe, based on my dialogue, that this is a safe vehicle, and they are refusing to address the issue.

The contact owns a 2024 Lincoln Corsair. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V091000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing an abnormally high voltage battery rapid discharge after an 80 percent charge. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.

We took delivery of the vehicle in March 2025. The vehicle has never been involved in any accident or collision during our possession. • In April 2026, we discovered that the passenger-side rear brake light was no longer functioning. • Upon inspection, dealership personnel informed me that a small crack—approximately one inch in length—in the plastic housing of the driver-side rear turn signal allegedly allowed moisture intrusion that ultimately caused the passenger-side brake light failure. • I was further advised that the repair would not be covered under warranty and was presented with an estimate totaling $1,377.54 (copy enclosed). • The dealership speculated that the crack may have resulted from a minor parking-lot incident. However, no evidence was provided to establish either the cause of the crack or when it occurred. Impact with deer on I-79 in WV at 70mph Air bags did not deploy. I was not injured but had it been a vehicle I would have been. Not inspected or confirmed by anyone. No messages or warning before collision.
