2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Complaints

While driving, the vehicle displayed a "Service Shifter" warning with no prior warning lamps or symptoms. The transmission then dropped out of Drive into Neutral on its own while the vehicle was moving, causing it to roll before the vehicle automatically shifted itself into Park and applied the parking brake. The vehicle could be shifted back into Drive but repeatedly slipped out of gear into Neutral again within about a minute each time. After parking, the gear indicator display (P/R/N/D) stopped illuminating entirely and has not returned. The vehicle is now unresponsive to the rotary shifter and is stuck in Park with no way to shift into any gear. This failure matches the description of open recall 30D (shifter module software defect causing loss of transmission gear position display), though my vehicle was not part of the currently identified population when checked against the VIN lookup. The vehicle is currently undriveable and has not yet been inspected by a dealer or independent...

The rear passenger side suspension coil fell out of my car in my driveway at less then 2 mph. The spring and rubber piece holding the spring in both fell to the ground with no damage done. The vehicle was towed to a jeep dealership where they confirmed there was no damage to any part of the vehicle, and it just fell out with no explanation. The dealer insists that we cannot reinstall the same sping, even though there is no damage to the vehicle or spring. If this would have happened at highway speeds, it could have been very dangerous for me or others around me. The dealer is currently making the repairs, but at my cost. There is currently a recall for this exact issue for my make/model/trim but for vehicles produced earlier in the year of 2023 (my vehicle is not covered). There was no warning lamps, messages or any symptoms of any failure prior to the spring falling from the vehicle.

Rear passenger coil spring popped out and became lodged in the tire while driving. We were driving on the Whitestone expressway and the car came to a resisted halt. This could have caused severe injury if I had not been in the lane and came to a slowdown to allow a car to merge in front of me. The highway traffic patrol man dislodged the fully intact coil from between the tire and tire well. There were no warning lamps, indicators, signs or symptoms. Initially I thought the tire popped which was strange as there was no pot holes or obstructions in the road.

My 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited has had an issue since I purchased it in March 2024 that has a loud booming sound that comes out of the speakers when you turn it on. It exceeds 70 dBA when it happens and causes me ear pain. My dealer has reported it numerous times and it is known to Jeep but they still have not come up with a fix.
