2025 Hyundai Palisade Complaints

The contact owned a 2025 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving 25-30 MPH on a curvy road, the steering wheel suddenly locked up, and the vehicle failed to drive in the intended direction, drove down the street, into a yard, and the front end of the vehicle crashed into a tree. The brake pedal was depressed prior to the crash, but the vehicle failed to respond as intended. The air bags deployed during the crash. After the vehicle had crashed into the tree, a bystander yelled that the vehicle was on fire. The contact was able to exit the vehicle. The contact stated that the fire started under the hood, near the engine compartment. The vehicle made exploding sounds three times while the 4 ft. tall fire progressed towards the cabin of the vehicle. The contact stated that the entire vehicle burned with the exception of the rear exterior lights and the rear passenger's side tire. The headrest button is stuck and unable to lock into position. We cannot get the button unstuck & car seat is now unsafe. I had to purchase and entirely new car seat (see receipt).

November 2025 I was on the freeway when I heard a loud bang. With my two young children in the car, I pulled off and inspected my car to find the rear moon roof glass had exploded. Luckily at the time, I had the shade closed or the glass would have been on my children and their car seats. I took it to the dealership and after a few weeks, my car was finished being repaired and returned to me. Last week, June 18 2026 I again was driving on the highway and heard again another loud bang. Only a few minutes away, I drove straight to the dealership, I knew it was the sounds of my moonroof again. They repaired and returned my car for a second time.

The sunroof exploded while driving down the highway. It put other driver's at risk since glass was flying from the roof. I am waiting on a call from the dealership for a remedy for repair.
