2019 Dodge Journey Complaints

Unknown it doesn't start and all lights flash on dash

The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Journey. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V552000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the rear-view camera displayed a black image intermittently while in reverse(R). The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer, where the contact was informed that the vehicle could not be repaired because parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

About 50% of the time the Bluetooth in the car fails to initialize. I have to either turn the car off for about 5 minutes or pull the fuse for the radio in order to get Bluetooth to connect for hands free calling and Bluetooth music. I have the 8.4 inch uconnect radio without nav or the dvd player option.

I purchased my 2019 dodge journey in 2022 and about two months maybe after purchasing it, my backup camera went out. At first, it came in and out- only working occasionally. But then it completely stopped and hasn’t worked since. There’s a line through the image where the camera use to show up in the mirror. I understand some 2019 dodge journeys has recalls for this, but not my VIN. So I wanted to report that this one also has the same issue.

The dealer determined that the rear-view camera needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired because the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. It was unknown whether the manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000.
