2015 Dodge Dart Complaints

Key cannot be removed from the ignition. Issues with putting car into park and wont shift into park causing danger to others around me and myself. Issues starting up because of this shift cable issue because car thinks its not in park. It was looked at by dealership service department at Berman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Dealership in Oak Lawn. There is still one outstanding recall that I was told "Does not have a solution" yet it has been recalled since October of last year (2025) A0C/NHTSA 25V-674

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Additionally, while attempting to shift into reverse(R), the vehicle remained in drive(D). The contact attempted to resolve the issue, but the gear shifter became stuck in park(P). The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where repairs remained pending because the remedy was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 170,000.

I contacted a dealership to get my recalls (25v-674, u90, and w20) fix and I spoke with Eric at the dealership and he told me they can’t fix it because I have a salvaged title and they don’t work on salvaged cars.
