Fuel/propulsion System
07/08/2026
Fuel line connecting to the gas tank was found completely disconnected, causing a strong gasoline odor, significant spilled gasoline and multiple warning lights including hybrid malfunction. There is an orange plastic clip that connects the flexible tube from the tank to the rigid fuel line that runs to the engine and this clip was found detatched. Dealer confirmed that the fuel rail line disconnected. Dealer suspects poor seating of connector retainer clip from factory. Review of various Land Cruiser online forums report multiple similar incidents. Dealer indicated Toyota is aware of and investigating this issue.

Unknown Or Other

I own a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 250 that I purchased in February 2025. Every time it rains, my car develops a strong musty, mildew-like smell inside the cabin. It usually fades after a few days of dry weather. This has been happening since I first got the car. It’s very annoying thing to happen on a new vehicle.

The handshake between the Toyota Entertainment System, and the SiriusXM satellite, have a known issue. The metadeta is not being received upon start up of the vehicle, at least half the time the vehicle is turned on. This causes a "loading..." screen error on the SiriusXM screen. While music is playing just fine, the data feed never does load. This is occurring in various locations, even in open fields and parking lots with no obstructions of the sky. The vehicle has been seen by the dealership, screen shots have been shared, but no software patch has been issued to solve the "handshake" between the radio unit and SiriusXM satellites. The temporary solution is to hold down the power button and do a "soft reset" of the entertainment unit, which solves the issue until the vehicle is powered off and powered on again. This issue is widespread, and many owners of Land Cruiser, 4runners, Corollas and Grand Highlanders have experienced the same issue, with no solution in sight. Personally,...

Intermittent delayed upshifts with slipping sensation, most noticeable between 1st and 2nd gear under light throttle. Occurs approximately 3–4 times per week. Condition has been present since approximately 5,000 miles. Dealer has documented two repair visits and written 'drives normal' on both repair orders despite the condition persisting. Toyota North America was contacted and promised dealer follow-up that never occurred.

I am reporting a serious safety defect in my brand-new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser (Hybrid J250 series). Vehicle Information: VIN: [XXX] Mileage at time of failure: approximately 4,000 miles Date of purchase/delivery: [XXX] Purchased new from: Koons Toyota Tysons Corner, VA Problem Description: On [XXX], while driving, a suspension component detached/fell off, causing loss of control and a crash. This was a complete mechanical failure of the suspension system with no prior warning or impact from another vehicle. The failure occurred despite the vehicle having extremely low mileage and despite me previously reporting suspension issues to the dealer. Prior to the crash, I took the vehicle to the dealer on April 17 , 2026 for suspension problems. The dealer inspected it and explicitly stated that the vehicle was safe to drive. Shortly afterward, the suspension failed catastrophically, resulting in the crash. This indicates a manufacturing, design, or assembly defect that poses an u...
