The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Kicks. The contact stated that while approaching the vehicle, it was discovered that the rear glass had shattered without impact. The vehicle was parked underneath a carport on a rainy day at the time of the failure. The contact stated that the rear glass had been intact during two previous visits outside before the glass shattered. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and filed a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.

The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Kicks. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the ABS warning light was intermittently illuminated. While driving 45 MPH, the vehicle failed to stop as intended while depressing the brake pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that excessive force was needed to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure or diagnose the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided an assigned case number. The vehicle remained with the dealer however, the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 15,730.

The car was off and parked, I had been driving, and my grand daughter in the back seat. My grand daughter who is [XXX] old was getting out of the car from the passengers rear door and the rear seat belt locked and retracted around her , continuously tightened and was wrapped around her abdomen, squeezing and failed to release. I attempted myself to get her out of the entrapment with no success. I ran into the building for help, Four adults who were trained in child safety, devices attempted to activate the manual release mechanism described in the manual, but the belt remained completely jammed and trapped her, she was screaming in pain and due to the immediate physical trauma and emergency, we were forced to cut the seat belt to free my grandchild. Nissan Consumer Affairs was notified under Reference # XXX, but they have closed the file, refused to cover the repair, and explicitly refused to provide me with a copy of their investigation report.
