2006 Jeep Liberty Complaints

The contact stated that both the front and rear driver's side and front and rear passenger's side seat belt straps had experienced material tearing causing the seat belts to become unsecured. Driver Front Lower Ball joint failed. Recalled ball joints were replaced in 2006. Spoke to Chrysler in 2020 about both lower ball joint boots being deteriorating and ball joints worn and rusty due to failure of recall work but refused to redo recall due to age of vehicle. Vehicle has less than 100k miles. Ball joint failed when turning from stop sign. Loud pop was heard and grinding from drivers side wheel.

The vehicle remained at the residence but was inoperable and not yet deemed totaled by the insurance company. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
