  • Service Brakes 06/12/2026

On XXX at approximately 630pm during rush-hour traffic crossing the XXX on [XXX], my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited L (11,800 miles) the brake pedal went to the floor and the vehicle would not stop normally. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. This created a dangerous situation in heavy traffic with my child in the car and could have easily led to a collision. The vehicle was promptly taken to the closest authorized Jeep dealer. They diagnosed a Brake Vacuum Booster failure along with Diagnostic Trouble Code P057B-00 (Brake Pedal Position Sensor related). I have video footage of the symptom occurring and photos of the repair diagnosis. This is a new vehicle with very low mileage, and this unexpected failure raises serious safety concerns about potential defects in the brake system. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this matter to determine if it affects other 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokees. • Service Brakes, forward Collision Avoidance 05/29/2026

This car slams the breaks to a stop in the middle of an intersection while turning left with other cars across the intersection also turning left. It thinks we will hit but we are not going to. This has happened twice. Luckily, the driver behind us was paying attention both times and also slammed their brakes, avoiding a collision.

  • Suspension, service Brakes 01/29/2026

2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve was parked before a snow / ice storm and when we went to drive it 5 days later, after the storm, it would not move and made a loud explosion noise when I pressed the accelerator. I immediately turned the Jeep off and went to look underneath to see if I could see what happened. The rear brake pads and calipers were blown off, along with a bunch of broken parts and the air ride suspension was at its fully extended height. It's been to 2 Jeep dealers who can not explain what happened and Jeep says there is nothing they can do. We have only owned this Jeep, which was purchased new, for less then 20 months when this happened. If this had happened while driving, we could have had an accident and been severely injured. The Jeep is available at this time to be inspected. No lights were on prior to this happening.
