2011 Jaguar XF Complaints

The contact owns a 2011 Jaguar XF. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle, an abnormally strong fuel odor was detected. Upon inspection, the contact noticed fuel leaking from the fuel tank fuel outlet flange. The dealer was made aware of the failure and scheduled an upcoming appointment. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 12V521000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was unknown.

The Gear shifter from park to drive is stuck in Drive and won’t come out

The contact owns a 2011 Jaguar XF. The contact stated that the fuel gauge would intermittently indicate that the fuel tank was empty while there was fuel in the tank. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle to the gas station and refueling, the fuel gauge indicated that the fuel tank was full; however, two days later, the fuel gauge indicated that the fuel tank was empty. The contact did not refuel and continued to drive the vehicle. The fuel gauge later indicated that there was 3/4 tank of gasoline left. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank, the assembly sender, the flange, the gasket, and the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact became aware that the manufacturer had issued a Technical Service Bulletin Number: JTB0001NAS1 regarding the fuel gauge failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 59,147.

The contact owns a 2011 Jaguar XF. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, an abnormally strong gasoline odor would emit throughout the vehicle with the check engine warning remaining illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact discovered that fuel was leaking from the fuel tank on the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed him that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 12V521000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) which he linked to the failure. The contact was then instructed by the manufacturer to take the vehicle to a local dealer for an inspection; however, the contact declined. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 91,000.
