2020 Honda Odyssey Complaints

Safety mitigation compoments failure that started as intermitent issues and now is consistent. Warning lights come on for Adaptive cruise control failure, Forward collision failure, Lane departure warning failure, high beam failure, lane keep assist failure and others all link back to the DTC U3000-49 internal multipurpose camera unit failure. This compenet failure puts all oppcpants and other vehicles at risk as driver have become reliant on all feature working properly to enhance safety for all. The problem has been diagnose and inspected by two different dealerships. No accident or vehicle comprimised, the camera component just fails and have talked to two other familes that have had same issue. The issues started as a inteitent flsh of all the warning lights and that moved to a constant issue. The contact owns a 2020 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, the rear hatch tailgate door opened unintendedly. The vehicle was previously taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle with electronic tailgate door control module failure, which was caused by water intrusion from the roof drainage system. The control module was replaced but the failure reoccurred on two other occasions, and the electronic tailgate door control module was replaced by the owner. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failures, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 50,000.

The contact owns a 2020 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that the Traction Control, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Road Departure Mitigation warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact continued to drive the vehicle as it passed state inspection. While driving approximately 65-70 MPH, the cruise control suddenly failed, requiring the contact to manually steer the vehicle. Additionally, the Collision Mitigation Braking System, battery, and ABS warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the ABS light illuminated after the brake pads were recently replaced, and the ADAS calibration was not performed. The vehicle was taken back to a dealer, who informed the contact that the monocular camera burned out due to windshield brackets; however, the contact stated the failures occurred prior to the windshield replacement. The contact owns a 2020 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that five days after the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V332000 (Air Bags), while starting the vehicle, five warning lights were displayed. The Lane Assist warning light and the cruise control warning light was illuminated. The dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was diagnosed with a front-facing camera failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

The multipurpose camera located behind the rear view mirror gets too hot and has errors and then fails and is expensive to repair. I had the recall completed for the camera at the rear of the vehicle and then the multipurpose camera in front died the next day.
