On this Car the AC drain hose causes unnecessary expedited rust of the subframe as it drips on the subframe where the steering rack and pinion are. this causes that part of the subframe to rust abnormally faster than normal due to the water. The hose whould have been redirected away from the subframe to prevent safety issues.

The contact stated that immediately after purchasing the vehicle, it was discovered that the SRS warning light was illuminated and remained illuminated while operating the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted regarding the failure. No further information was available. The failure mileage was 129,000.

The contact owns a 2000 Honda Accord. The contact stated that there was film covering the inside of the headlights, causing the lights to fail to illuminate properly. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer who confirmed that it was a known failure. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle had to be taken to a body shop to have the film cleaned off the headlights. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Ignition Key can be removed from the ignition with the transmission in gear allowing the car to roll. This has happened multiple times. I took it to h dealer and the wouldn’t fix it because they couldn’t find a recall notice on it.
