My vehicle has an active status under Ford Safety Recall 20S15 (NHTSA Campaign 20V177) for a fractured door latch pawl spring. The defect has fully manifested: my side door physically will not latch or stay shut. There was no warning that the latch has malfunctioned. I was driving and my door swung open when I made a turn. I’ve been trying to get my car serviced because of the safety recall involving the door latch. Unfortunately, my driver’s side passenger door won’t physically shut. While my recall allows for free repairs, I can’t drive my car to the dealership because it’s unsafe. I’ve spoken to supervisors in Customer Relations, Services, and Body Shop, as well as Recall Corporate. I was also told that Lee would give me a call today, but I haven’t received a call back. Brandy Seals suggested using rope to tie the door shut, but I’m concerned about traveling from New Market in such a situation. I spoke with The Cooperate Recall Center, and they informed me that “Pick up and Del...

Brand new OEM ford clutch slave cylinder failed while in traffic. Part number DG9Z-7A564-B fell apart during test drive after it was newly installed. Lost ability to use the clutch pedal and could not pull the car out of gear while in traffic. Component was not inspected by manufacturer yet, there were no warning lights on the dash when it occurred. Was able to get the car back home and noticed brake fluid pouring out from inside the bell housing of the transmission where the slave cylinder is housed.

Transmission was supposedly rebuilt back July 26, 3021. Now transmission has had a new dual clutch replaced but other concerns are still there jerkiness on accelerations. In 2021 the transmission was not fully rebuild as per recall. Only clutch assembly was done and not the back end. Which now could be the problem. Second, colonial Ford sated transmission rebuilt has lifetime warranty which a lie. Colonial Ford doesn’t offer lifetime. The service advisors lie about this all the time. Now the car jerks on acceleration after clutch replacement. Dealer and Ford still take no responsibility over the product! The car has 145,000 miles still under the 150,000 mile warranty isssue by you!

Seat Belts

Seat Belt retractor/pretensioner failed and was causing the passenger seatbelt light to go off. Had to repair due to automatic failing of inspection for this issue and the major safety issue this poses. Auto shop charged me $784.82 for today's repair and over $300 (don't remember exact amount, if claim moves forward I will contact them for another copy of that invoice) for a different repair on the seatbelt. I called Ford and they told me their 5 Year/60K warranty on the car expired. I told them that under Federal Code 49 USC Subsection 30120 the manufacturer is required to repair such safety, they told me they couldn't help me and to go away, despite the clear language of this code. Therefore, I am filing this complaint against the Fiesta/ Ford Motor Company (not sure who exactly, I haven't done this before) to request reimbursement under federal law for defective safety equipment. Do not have both bills. The most recent bill will be uploaded. If this claim can move forward, pl...
