2016 Ford F-150 Complaints

    Vehicle suddenly seemed to shift while driving causing a loud sound, jerk and caused a loss of control suddenly.

    The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000 (Power Train); however, after the recall repair, the vehicle made abnormal grinding sounds and went into LIMP Mode before shifting to second gear while driving. The transmission warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 186,000.
