The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that upon attempting to fasten the rear drivers side third row seatbelt they had noticed that the cross lap piece would not secure itself into the latch. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was inspected and the contact was advised that the housing buckle units were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number : 22V617000 (SEAT BELTS) as probable cause for the failure. The manufacture was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000.

Driving the vehicle down the highway at approximately 65 miles per hour, the check engine light came on and the engine went into limp mode, slowing immediately. Upon getting the vehicle to the left shoulder on a busy highway, the vehicle displayed "engine overheating", "battery low", and 0% oil life. A full oil and filter change had been done less than 1000 miles ago and upon checking the oil, it was at the correct level. The engine completely failed and is not being replaced at a Chevrolet dealership. I completed the recall N252494003 on March 5th, 2026 which comprised of an engine inspection, higher viscosity oil, a new oil cap, filter replacement, and owner's manual insert. The engine still failed and required replacement despite having this done.

2022 Tahoe engine failure occurred on the highway due to 6.2L engine defect "L87 Engine Loss of Propulsion". Wife was stranded on the highway with no shoulder in 80 mph traffic. L87 Engine Loss of Propulsion defect was confirmed by Chevrolet, and car has been sitting at the service center for 6 weeks awaiting an engine. Just got notification that it is being shipped.

Tahoe failed mid driving in a public roadway, computer system said press to restart and car made a whirling noise. I was unable to restart or put into neutral to move. This was a safety concern due to it happening mid driving, and I had my two young children with me.

was moving vehicles around in driveway and vehicle was running and in parked position in the driveway on slight hill and after 4-5 mins of sitting there idle vehicle rolled down the hill towards kids playing and struck another vehicle. when i got back into vehicle, the vehicle was in park and the reverse lights and reverse camera were on while the vehicle was in park.
