Known issue of arabic language reset on engine start with this make/model infotainment system. (TSB 23-NA-118 / 23-NA-042). Causes language and user errors upon startup and causes the rear backup camera to not engage properly every time, creating a safety issue when reversing. With the user’s language not saving, it creates a safety issue because the warnings are in a language that the user cannot understand on startup.

I brought my daughter home from work car was working fine we went to leave about an hour later the car would turn over for a second then die my husband checked it and The P129F diagnostic trouble code is what popped up that is specific to GM Motors so that's what's wrong there were no warning signs and safety is necessarily at risk but I need a car to provide for my family

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that after the manufacturer performed an over-the-air (OTA) update to the OnStar system, the radio module and infotainment system became inoperable, rendering the rearview camera and the OnStar system inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who diagnosed that the radio module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 79,665.

The contact stated that the Check Engine warning light illuminated after the failure. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,858.

The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a fuel pump control module failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,400.
