The contact owned a 2017 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 20-25 MPH, the vehicle independently accelerated and crashed into an embankment of a church’s building on the driver’s side of the vehicle. There were damages to the building. The contact stated that he depressed the brake pedal several times; however, the vehicle failed to respond or stop as needed. The contact stated that the air bags did not deploy. A Police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to the chest, forehead, and neck. The contact was taken by ambulance to the hospital to seek medical attention. The vehicle was towed; however, the vehicle was deemed a total loss. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not contacted or made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 89,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine compartment. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the engine was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil and that the engine was nearly devoid of oil. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000.

Air Bags

I was hit by another car on the drivers side front door. The side airbags and the steering wheel airbag did not deploy. This resulted in a C2 nondisplaced neck fracture plus other pain likely from sub clinical rib fractures. This problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. It has been inspected by the police and insurance representatives. There were no indication or lance or messages that there was a problem with the car prior to the failure.

Vehicle Speed Control, unknown Or Other

Car in reverse and going forward when foot on gas the car will take off at a high speed. Need to hit brakes quick to stop the car. Could cause an accident if other cars are around or pedestrians walking. I nearly hit a building.

Seat Belts

The seat belts in the back seat are not working. At first it was only the one behind passé seat and now none of them work and I have a baby and one on the way. It is not safe for my baby to ride in the car.
