2006 Nissan Armada Complaints

The contact stated while driving approximately 20 MPH and approaching a stop sign, the contact became aware of smoke and then fire coming from underneath the hood. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact and passenger exited the vehicle safely. The contact stated that she had minor hip pain but did not seek medical attention. The approximate failure mileage was 182,000.

I WAS TRAVELING AT LOW SPEED AND STEP ON THE BRAKES AND HEAR A TERRIBLE GRINDING SOUND COMING FROM THE BRAKES IN ADDITION TO A SPRING LIKE SOUND AND A SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN BRAKING POWER. THE BRAKE LIGHTS CAME ON. THIS CONTINUES UNTIL I PULL OFF THE ROAD AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE AND THEN START IT BACK UP AND THE BRAKES WORK FINE. THE NEXT DAY, WHILE EXITING THE HIGHWAY...BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON, LITTLE OR NO BRAKING POWER AND A SHUDDER IN THE BREAKS. AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN AS I PULL UP TO THE DRIVEWAY TO PARK MY ARMADA. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I REALLY HOPE THAT NISSAN WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE.

THE EMERGENCY AND IMPORTANCE TO RECALL MY VEHICLE WHICH IS A 06 NISSAN ARMADA AND I'M SURE THERE IS PLENTY MORE OUT THERE. THE ISSUE IS THAT MY BRAKES WILL NOT ENGAGE OUT OF NOWHERE. THEY WILL STOP WORKING AND IT FEELS AS IF THE BRAKES ARE LOCKING AND GRINDING . THIS HAPPENS WHEN GOING DOWN HILL , THE MOST DANGEROUS TIMES IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME IS DRIVING WHILE IN THE FREEWAY.
