The contact owns a 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road and noticed fuel leaking from underneath the vehicle onto the ground. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The dealer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that his VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V635000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact notified Land Rover Nashville (3 Cadillac Dr, Brentwood, TN 37027) who advised as the first dealer. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 151,948. VIN did not link the recall to the vehicle.

The contact stated that she had seen fuel leaking under the vehicle when reversing out the driveway. The contact called the local dealer and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.

The local dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The contact stated that she was smelled a strong odor of gasoline upon starting the vehicle. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that she would receive a second letter once parts were available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Hello, i have 2010 Land Rover Range Rover sport. 4 weeks ago i smell gas and i saw error code about gas cap. I purchased 2 gas cap and replaced it but i keep smelling gas. I took the car to shop and mechanic confirmed gas leak. I call LandRover customer service and i talk to Debbie and Tiffany. I told them about upcoming gas leak recall and they told me they couldn't help me before official recall announcement. I took the car to Landrover dealer in Alexandria Virginia and i talk to Ash and he told me the same thing to wait until offical recall. I don't know why we wait until October 8, 2021 if gas leak is fire hazard. NHTSA i really appreciate for your help and thank you for your time. Have a blessed day.
