2022 Honda Passport Complaints

The forward-facing mulitpurpose camera has failed on numerous occasions. This causes failures of: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation System, Auto High-Beam, Road Departure Mitigation, and Lane Keeping Assist. There are numerous incidents of the same failure across most Honda models for the same issue, documented in various forums.

At 62,000 a very noticeable gap in steering going left or right become present. As you turn the steering left or right before the tires began to turn a noticeable clanking notice like gears hitting. The action of clanking was repeating every move more noticeable in park while running and off. Same while driving at 30 and below. ASE mechanic stated it was the rack and pinion issue which could lead to a lost in control resulting in a crash. Dealer refuses to fix due being a 2022 not a 2023

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Passport. The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the transmission shuddered. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel injectors needed to be flushed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the same diagnostic information was provided. The contact stated that the fuel injectors were flushed again. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25,300.

I was exiting a highway onto another highway. It was a pretty sharp exit to the right. The vehicle lost engine power, and I couldn't travel greater than about 40 miles/hour. The vehicle would not respond to my pressing the accelerator. Upon getting off the exit onto the next highway, I immediately pulled over and shut the vehicle off. I waited a few minutes before restarting the vehicle. Once I restarted the vehicle, it was back to normal. There were no further issues for the rest of the drive (about 90 miles). This has happened 3-4 times since I purchased the vehicle.

When driving on Highway the engine will lose drive power, hesitate and temporarily stall. This happened soon after we purchased and again multiple time and when in traffic nearly cause cars behind to crash into us. This is very scary. We have taken into Honda dealership multiple times and the first time they said it came back with code for transmission failure and scheduled a new transmission but later said they are disregarding code and no problem with vehicle. The problem is not collision avoidance since sometimes happens when no other vehicles around.
