2022 Honda Passport Complaints

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Passport. The contact stated while operating the vehicle stated that the vehicle has stiff steering and a odd noise coming from the steering wheel. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V184000 (Steering) however, the VIN was not included in the recall repair. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 112,000.

My sunroof glass randomly exploded! Yes, my safety and others safety was threatened! Glass shards would have hit my face had my sunshade not been closed! Glass shards flew off the back of my vehicles and there was another vehicle driving in the same lane behind me. The road was smooth and there were no potholes present. My car was driving smoothly, no warnings of any sort alerted me to any issues. As I was driving, I suddenly heard a VERY LOUD “pow!” kind of noise from the top of my car. It was incredibly loud, and sounded like a gunshot or a firework on the roof of my vehicle. I was able to pull over to inspect my car, and I immediately saw the damage to my sunroof. The rest of my car stayed perfectly intact, and there was no rock present, no foreign debris, and no mark on my interior sliding sunshade (indicating nothing hit my sunroof glass to shatter it). The contact owns a 2022 Honda Passport. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal, the Collision Mitigation System, Power Steering System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Hill Start Assist messages were displayed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V458000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact was provided an estimate for a diagnostic, but declined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was given the same information as the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 39,300.

The infotainment screen on my 2022 Honda Passport is constantly blacking out or freezing up. In addition to no use of radio or GPS when this happens, there is also no backup camera or rear cross traffic warning. This creates a safety issue. The vehicle has been to the dealer twice. While they can see the problem, they indicated there's no fault code, therefore they don't know know how to proceed with a repair. I opened a case with Honda Customer Service but was told they couldn't do anything and I need to talk to the service manager at the dealer, or just go to a different dealer or Honda Service Center.

On numerous occasions while driving on the highway with no other vehicles in the vicinity of my vehicle the forward collision active braking activates aggressively and brakes for no reason this is concerning at 70 mph with a vehicle behind that may be following to close on a slippery road surface. vehicle is available for inspection any time upon request. vehicle has not been inspected by any one yet. no warning lamps other than the one associated with forward collision braking.
