Engine knocking vechile had loss of power. Had towed to dealer. Throwing all kinds of codes 6.2 L v8. Truck passed GM crap test in September and here we are at 59,000 with a blown motor. Lucky it did not go out under power and kill me or my small kids and family that was going to vacation with this truck the next day

Vehicle had previously undergone the GM 6.2L engine recall inspection on October 17, 2025, and was determined to have passed. On June 13, 2026, at approximately 80,390 miles, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion while being driven with five children in the vehicle. The vehicle became inoperable and required towing. Dealer subsequently diagnosed engine failure and has ordered a replacement engine. This failure happened with out warning.

The contact owns a 2023 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine became inoperable, causing the battery to discharge. The contact further stated that no warning lights illuminated prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a seized engine; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.

The contact owns a 2023 GMC Yukon. The contact stated while driving 55 mph, there was blinking on the front screen of the vehicle, impeding contact to be able to see miles per hour of vehicle, odometer, among other vehicle details the screen displays. The failure mileage was approximately 46,400.

Completed the oil change requirement in the recall for the 6.2L but engine blew while driving on I-10 while doing 75mph. 50k miles. Completely left stranded on major highway with family in car and vehicle flying by. GM needs to be held accountable. Their fix is not a fix.
