vehicle went dead. replaced the battery. Started after replacement but went dead a few days later. Towed to dublin CA genesis. Diagnosed as water corrosion to wiring harness. vehicle has less than 22000 miles, other than car washes and normal winter driving in CA. Genesis does have a recall for water intrusion NHTSA ID# 24v107000. I believe my issue is related to this recall but the dealership doesnt think so.

The contact owns a 2018 Genesis G90. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V107000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact attempted to make the manufacturer aware of the issue; however, was unable to reach a representative. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The internal trunk release latch will not open the trunk. A person inside the trunk compartment may become trapped, increasing their risk of injury. - The trunk latch failed. It is available for inspection, upon request. - A person inside the trunk compartment may become trapped, increasing their risk of injury. - The problem has been confirmed by the dealer (Courtesy Hyundai in Tampa, FL) - The component has not been inspected by police, manufacturer, or others. - There are no warning lamps or messages prior to the problem occuring.
