2019 Genesis G80 Complaints

Oil pressured sensor went bad $2500 fix from dealer. In Korea this is a recall. The Genesis forums are full of complaints regarding same issue. The factory should cover this but the 10 year 100000 mile warranty does not cover it since it is considered an electrical part.

The contact owns a 2019 Genesis G80. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V107000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2019 Genesis G80. The contact stated that on one occasion while the vehicle was turned off, the driver’s door was slammed hard, and the driver’s side mirror popped out. The contact stated that on another occasion while turned off, the driver’s door was slammed, and the passenger’s side mirror popped out. The vehicle was taken to a dealer twice where it was determined that the mirrors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred with the driver’s side mirror. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
